Red fireflies. I have been asking people for years about fireflies in Tri-Cities Washington because my brother and I remember red colored fireflies in Richland in the late 70's and early 80's. I distinctly remember their color was similar to brake lights at night and they were wider shaped in body than the lightning bugs I've seen in Ohio, which were yellow.
