Goofs When Annabelle rides her bike to the funeral home in the middle of the night she seems to be wearing flip-flops, and when she pulls up to the house it is actually clear that she has on flip-flops. But as she enters the house and walks around in the dark, it is very clear that she now is wearing fuzzy house slippers.

After she is discovered by Elvis and gets ready to leave, as she walks out onto the porch, once again she is wearing the flip-flops. Quotes Anabelle : I've never lived. User reviews 46 Review. Top review. An excellent movie. The movie made my wife cry several times and I thought about it the movie for several days afterward. We enjoyed it very much. So did everyone else at the showing which was sold out. The film has an engaging story, happy ending, beautiful photography, great title, interesting setting a mortuary without being gross and good actors.

But it was also "different". The story in particular was thoughtful and well-written and, on its own, kept everyone engaged as the protagonists went from misguided misery to ignorant bliss to suspenseful drama, to. I particularly liked Anabelle beautiful and seemingly transparent acting , the mortician's father deceptively sly in a positive fashion and some of the "spare" dialog which is hard to write. The mortician's devotion to his father was also touching. All in all, I strongly recommend the movie.

If you haven't see it, you really are missing out and you're right, it didn't get enough recognition!! Nice review. I liked it, good film. Don't know why I haven't heard of it before. It's a pity it's not more recognised. Stay cool y'all. Monday, February 20, Elvis and Anabelle.

Last night, I saw the movie "Elvis and Anabelle" from for the first time, and I really fell in love with it. Elvis is an unlicensed mortician in his family's funeral home, a once splendid American Gothic in rural Texas. His sense of family obligation and love for his eccentric, infirm father keep him from following his dreams. Anabelle is a small-town beauty queen being groomed for the big time by her pushy, show-biz mother.
